On September 27th we held our first French Day as we begin our exploration of the French language, culture and geography.
We started the day with an Assembly when Mrs Hook played us some video clips of a French School, an intorduction to the country and its landmarks and finally Old Macdonald had a Farm in French (Le vieux MacDonald a une ferme) where the animals make different sounds!
Some Year 3 children then sang 'Deux petits oiseaux'. Then we sang 'Joyeux Anniversaire' to the birthday children.
In class we took part in all kinds of activities, including art inspired by French artists, a quiz on life in France, food tasting, playground games and more songs. Year 6 cooked some superb patisserie - délicieux!
