A massive 'well done' and 'thank you' to all the children and parents who took part in the Park & Stride week from Hooper's Field.
The numbers got bigger everyday! In total, 26 children walked at some point during the week, 12 on all 5 days. We hope that everyone who took part will continue to make use of the facility in the morning and afternoon.
And if you didn't do it this week, give it a try next term. It makes parking easier, it's a great way to get a bit of exercise and children arrive at school alert and ready to work. I'd like to thank all the staff (and a governor) who helped with the event.
Staffing means that we can't run a group walk everyday after the holiday, but we will have a 'Walking Wednesday' with loyalty cards leading to a small reward. We'd like to explore options for 'Walking Buses' from Upper Wanborough and ride sharing schemes. These would be dependent on parents running them, but I'm happy to facilitate these, just contact me via the school office.
