On the 28th of November we held our annual World Beat event.
Each class represented a country and sang in the language of that country. This year Mexico, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Cameroon and Argentina were represented.
All the classes have been working hard over recent weeks on both their singing and their stage presentation and it certainly paid off!
The event was compered by 'Lady Gaga', with judges from each class, plus Mrs Evans (a school governor), Reverend Bill, Mrs Tilly and Mr Drury.
In the interval, while the judges were considering their scores, we enjoyed some sing along songs, including Les Trois Petits Cochons in a Lady Gaga style!
At the end of their deliberations the judges couldn't separate Willow Class, representing Italy, with Oltre l'arcobaleno (Over The Rainbow) and Oak Class, representing French speaking Cameroon with Mama Africa, so they were declared joint winners.
Here are clips from the other superb performances.
