Cotswold Wildlife Park:
On Tuesday 16th October we went to Cotswold Wildlife Park to look at animals from 'Amazing Africa'.
Despite it being a very English autumnal day, we had a great time. Before our talk on African animals, we took a tour of some other parts of the Park and saw the penguins being fed.
Then it was time to find out about zebras, rhinos and giraffes. Did you know that rhinos' horns are made of the same stuff as your hair and fingernails (keratin)? Or that giraffes only sleep for about 3 hours a day, in 30 minute naps and that they can sleep standing up?
After we'd had our lunch, we discovered that it was time for the lions to be fed, something that only happens every two days. It was very exciting.
