Drug Awareness Workshop

Last Wednesday, Oak Class had a thought-provoking Drug Awareness workshop. The children were informed of the marketing of products containing drugs, alongside the symbols that can be used to identify such products. There was a focus on products that look like regular sweet packets and the children were able to spot the small differences that would highlight the inclusion of illegal substances in products. The workshop also discussed the risks of vapes and considered why single-use vapes have been made illegal. The final focus was on alcohol and the children were able to experience stacking cups with 'beer goggles' on.
