Acorn Class - Term 1

In maths, we have looked at repeating patterns. First we had to continue the pattern that Miss Corbyn gave us and then we collected some natural materials and made our own AB pattern.

 

In our computing lessons we have learnt how to use the iPads. This week, we went on the White Rose Maths app - 1 minute maths. We practised our subitising by using our fast eyes to see how many were on the screen and then tapping the correct number. 

 

Acorn class took part in 'International Talk like a Pirate' day this week. They all dressed up and took part in lots of different pirate activities such as: walking the plank, testing boats, making wanted posters, coffee-stained treasure maps, decorating pirate hats, singing sea shanties and dancing like pirates! ARRRR M'HEARTIES!

 

Acorn class have had a lovely first few weeks settling in. They have formed some lovely friendships and started lessons including maths, phonics, drawing club, music and computing.
